田世平,女,博士,研究员,博士生导师。 1957年3月出生于重庆市酉阳县,1982年1月在
四川农业大学获学士学位,1991年被国家教委选派到意大利留学,1995年在意大利博洛尼亚大学获植物病理学博士学位,1997年5月回国,现任
中国科学院植物研究所研究员,
中国科学院研究生院教授,中国园艺学会采后生理学分会副理事长。2002年获
国家杰出青年科学基金,并入选
中国科学院“百人计划”。 2003年和2007年分别在美国Cornell University和美国农业部食品品质安全研究所做访问学者。迄今发表学术论文180余篇(SCI刊物论文100余篇),主编和参编出版专业书9部(英文书5部)。已培养硕士和博士20余名;正在指导博士后2名、博士生和硕士生11名。
人物经历
1975年高中毕业后,田世平下乡去当知青,幸运的是两年后中国恢复了高考制度,田世平就成了恢复高考后的第一批考生,这也是新中国建国以来的一次冬季高考。在高考填写自愿时田世平的理想是报考文科,以后做一名文字工作者。但父母建议她报考理科,学习科学技术,将来建设祖国。
田世平的父亲是1938年在山西洪洞参加革命,跟随刘邓大军南下的军人,解放后担任了重庆市
酉阳县人民法院的第一任院长。母亲则是一名妇联工作者,他们没有读过多少书,所以希望子女能报考科学技术相关专业,为国家建设与经济发展添砖加瓦。田世平听从家人的建议,弃文学理,报考了几个与国防相关的大学,但分数下来以后,她并没有如愿,而是被分配到
四川农业大学。田世平说:“收到通知书时,心都凉了半截,但想想能成为我们学校考上大学的七人之一,也就知足了”。
进入大学后田世平逐渐意识到自己专业的重要性,“民以食为天,农业是最基础的专业”。
“出国后才发现,国内跟国外的科研条件和研究水平反差很大,需要学习的东西太多了”田世平说。正是这鲜明的对比让她更渴望留在意大利深造,学习更先进的技术知识。作为最老牌的世界名校之一,
博洛尼亚大学招生少且成绩高,最重要的是读博士这四年她没有任何经济来源。但田世平对学业的认真态度以及执着的科学精神感动了导师,在导师的帮助下她拿到了四年的奖学金继续求学。四年后,田世平不仅顺利毕业,还获得了优秀博士毕业生。
留学意大利是田世平人生中很重要的经历,在留学期间她深切的感受到,如果一个国家不强大,那么人民在国外是得不到应有的尊重的。“一定要学有所成,中国人需要团结努力,让祖国更强大。这种真正的爱国情,只有身在异乡才有最深切的感触。”
1997年5月在香港回归祖国之际,田世平回到了祖国,来到中国科学院植物研究所。尽管当时国内的薪水微薄、科研条件艰苦,她仍然选择继续在科研这条路上走下去,这一走就是二十年。
1998年,田世平刚刚回国第二年,就被科技部一位领导请到了江西省永新县处理一个棘手的难题。永新县是一个井冈山革命老区,县里的农民在政策引导下广泛种植李树,但由于采摘和贮藏方式不当,导致李果腐烂严重,农民“丰产不丰收”。田世平来到县里了解情况后制定了李果采收和采后贮藏保鲜技术,通过规范果农的采果方式(用剪子采果代替竹杠打果),采用低温贮藏使“芙蓉李”和“赖李”的保鲜期达到2个月以上,解决了农民卖果难的问题。地方领导紧握田世平的手说:“田老师,代表老区人民感谢您,给我们解决了生产大问题。”
田世平毕业后被分配到
四川省农业科学院果树研究所工作,对知识的渴求和对科研的兴趣使她产生了出国留学的念头。在当时,出国学习只有国家公派这一条途径,且四川农科院一年只有两个名额,需要工作非常优秀。1988年田世平通过了英语EPT等考试,1990年被国家教育部选派为中意政府交换学者,到北京语言学院学习一年的意大利语后,于1991年11月踏上了去
意大利博洛尼亚大学留学的征程。
1995年在意大利博洛尼亚大学获“植物病理学”博士,1997年回国在中国科学院植物研究所工作,现任“采后生理病理学”研究领域首席研究员。“国家杰出青年基金”获得者,中国科学院“百人计划”入 选者。曾在意大利Udine大学、
美国康乃尔大学和美国农业部食品品质与安全研究所做合作研究。
为了将自己的知识与经验无私地传递下去,田世平在做科研的同时坚持指导学生。至今为止,田世平已培养毕业了30余名博士和硕士研究生,他们中有4人获得中国科学院院长优秀奖,20多人获得中科院不同类型的奖学金和优秀学生,田世平也荣获中科院优秀教师奖。除此之外,她每年都会抽时间参加
中国女科技工作者协会、中国科学院妇工委和中国女生物学家分会组织的各种女科学家进校园活动,“我门不仅要传播科学思想,还要给当代大学生,尤其是女大学生树立正确的人生观价值观,改变有些人‘干得好不如嫁得好’的想法”。

采后生理病理学
主要从事采后果实在不同环境条件胁迫下的生理失调(褐变和冷害)和调控机制研究;控制果实采后病害的生物技术及机理研究;果实抗病性诱导及机理研究;以及拮抗菌细胞凋亡及调控机制研究。
采后病原真菌致病与产毒的分子基础及调控机制
针对果蔬采后腐烂和真菌毒素污染严重等重大产业难题,围绕果蔬产品“优质、安全”的关键科学问题,以果实采后重要致病真菌Botrytis cinerea和Penicillium expansum为模式材料解析病原真菌致病和产毒分子机制,同时开展果蔬采后病害绿色防控和真菌毒素生物消减技术的研发及应用工作。
果实对病原菌抗性应答的分子机制
从果实角度解析寄主对采后病原菌的抗性应答机制,重点关注膜蛋白在寄主抗病与病原菌互作过程中的分子机制。研究结果将从寄主角度解析果实采后病害的发生机制,并为果蔬抗病育种工作提供理论依据。

人物评价
二十多年来,田世平一直积极倡导科学精神、宣传科学人生,为激发青年人对科研工作的热情做出了突出的贡献,传播科学知识与自身的工作经验,发挥优秀女科技骨干的示范带头作用。从2012年起至今,田世平多次前往贵州、四川等地考察学习,深入了解贫困地区妇女儿童生活及受教育情况,站在扶贫攻坚最前沿。
对于那些有科研梦想的青年人,田世平也给出忠告:“如果你想发财,就不要做科学家。科学家是有责任推动社会进步的人,要耐得住寂寞,有一颗持之以恒的心。不谋全局者不足以谋一域,不谋万世者不足以谋一时。”田世平一再强调,青年人一定要有合理的人生规划,社会需要多元化人才,每个人都可以追求自己的理想,但前提是有担当、不自私,在做任何事情时要顾大局,有社会责任心。
