《小星星》绘本源自200多年前的
英国传统儿歌《Twinkle Twinkle Little Star》。是全世界流传最广的
儿歌，成就了世界儿歌史上最夺目的皇冠。也成为了全世界所有国家和文化的孩子们启蒙教育中最经典的第一首儿歌。
作品背景
《Twinkle twinkle little star》是著名的英国儿童插图画册，后来的《
小星星》儿歌就是在此基础上改编而成。但长久以来，因为国内和国外在儿童领域交流较少，随着中国的改革开放，越来越多的外国儿童读物开始普及起来。在这样的大潮流下，著名的童话家王雨然将此插图画册及中文翻译首次引入中国。王雨然的翻译简洁明快，爽朗清新。因整个故事的翻译都可以用儿歌唱出来，所以被誉为‘音乐的童话’，在双语儿童文学中，绽放着属于崭新时代的光彩。
