詹姆斯·泰特·布莱克
纪念奖(The James Tait Black Memorial Prize)是
英国最古老的文学奖。此奖项创办于
1919年，每年评奖一次，是
布莱克夫人为了纪念她的最后一任丈夫而设立的；她向苏格兰艺术协会(Scottish Arts Council)进行了捐助。奖项的获得者是由
爱丁堡大学英语文学系的教授们从前一年在
英国出版的英语作品中选出的。
创办历史
詹姆斯·布莱克奖由
英国出版商布莱克的遗孀为纪念丈夫对优秀书籍的热爱而出资创立。这一文学奖每年颁发一次，由400多名爱丁堡大学学者和在校研究生从上一年度出版的英文小说类和传记类作品中提名入围作品。各奖项奖金均为1万英镑（约合10万元人民币）。2013年，
爱丁堡大学与苏格兰国家剧院合作，为詹姆斯·布莱克奖增设戏剧类奖项。
此奖项创办于1919年，每年评奖一次，布莱克奖包括
小说奖和
传记奖，各项奖金一直为3000英镑，2005年时奖金提高为各项一万英镑。布莱克纪念奖的获奖者大部分都是知名的作家人士，前任的获奖者中包括了着名的
D.H.劳伦斯、
E.M.福斯特、
罗伯特·格雷夫斯、
格雷厄姆·格林、
伊夫林·沃、
萨尔曼·拉什迪等。也有
诺贝尔文学奖的获奖者，像
威廉·戈尔丁、 娜丁·戈迪默、J.M.库切、
多丽丝·莱辛，1902年的
诺贝尔医学奖得主
罗纳德·罗斯（Ronald Ross）也凭借自己的回忆录获得1923年的传记奖，还有获得过
布克奖、柑橘奖、都柏林奖等众多英语文学奖的作家也获此荣誉。
奖项设置
布莱克奖包括小说奖和传记奖，各项奖金为3000
英镑。获奖者中包括了著名的
