舍弃我禅师是马来西亚藉华裔，1951年出生。1975年大学毕业後即出家为上座部比丘，献身於四念处智慧禅的教授。

他的著作有：毗钵舍那观实修(a pragmatic approach to vipassana)、 智慧禅实修(essentials of insight meditation practice)、慈悲禅、四无量心禅、出家人直说趣事(funny monk's tales / 以契入正念的角度来描述世间故事) 等； 禅诗作品有：the voices from the heart, walking iris , wind in the forest 等。
