曾科，男，南京大学生命科学学院教授。于1994年从事包括病原感染、天然免疫与炎症、microRNA与免疫等方面的研究，是国际上免疫学研究领域的代表人物。2008年开始主持并参与多项国家自然基金项目与973项目，阐明了miRNA导致肾小球损伤的机制，发现了血清microRNA作为国内高发的五种恶性肿瘤的生物标志物，并解释了病毒潜伏感染与激活的免疫学基础。在病毒临床株及变异株的筛选和制备以及体内外感染模型的建立，天然免疫细胞炎症反应的分析测定等方面已有深入的研究。
