创作背景
《Yeah!》是亚瑟小子专辑《Confessions》中最后一首被收录进去的歌曲。词曲创作者肖恩·加勒特被询问到能否提供一些可作为专辑首支单曲的歌曲。由于专辑中其它歌曲的风格偏向节奏布鲁斯，因而肖恩想创作出一首具有动感的作品。创作过程之中，肖恩的兄弟提醒到他在几年前有曾写过几首”内容疯狂“的歌曲，而这几首歌曲中包括了《Yeah!》的原型。在听过歌曲原型后，L.A. 瑞德认为歌曲歌词需要一定的深度和故事性，于是肖恩便将歌曲改编为了一个故事。
而歌曲合作歌手之一的里尔·乔恩则同时身兼歌曲的制作人一职。里尔·乔恩在歌曲完成创作之前提供给了Jive唱片一份与歌曲类似的伴奏。当歌曲创作完成时，几位创作者发现Jive唱片旗下艺人皮蒂·巴勃罗的《Freek-A-Leek》与歌曲使用的是相同的节奏。而Jive唱片公司则表明他们不愿放弃《Freek-A-Leek》的立场。当时《Yeah!》已经录制完成，并已制成黑胶唱片。在发现这个问题后，乔恩调整了歌曲的伴奏。
